Major Event Information* Robbery * 1100 block of Murfreesboro Rd. at approximately 1:30 am. The victim pulled into the parking lot at this location and as he was getting out of his vehicle he was approached by the suspect. The suspect asked the victim for a lighter and the victim opened his car door as he did so the suspect pulled a black semi auto handgun from his pocket, pointed it at the victim and forced the victim back into the front passenger seat of his vehicle. The suspect told the victim to empty his pockets and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect his wallet, cell phone and approximately $120 in cash. The suspect drove off in the victim's car, after looking in the trunk. He drove briefly drove the car before parking it near where it was taken from. While Officers were interviewing the victim, the victim pointed out the suspect as he was crossing Murfreesboro Rd. The suspect fled but was taken into custody by Hermitage and South patrol officers. Officers found a small baggie of marijuana and the victim's cell phone in the suspect's possession. The victim was able to identify the suspect. The hand gun the suspect had pointed at the victim was also recovered. The gun had been reported stolen. South Precinct Detectives responded to the scene along with ID. The 17 year old suspect's charges included Aggravated Robbery and Simple Possession of a controlled substance. There were also 2 outstanding warrants on the suspect, one for Attempted Homicide and the other for Aggravated Assault.
* Burglary *
2100 block of Vine Hill Rd. The victim had been out of town and upon her return she noticed that her 20" flat screen TV was missing. There were no signs of forced entry but the rear door was unlocked. The residence did not appear out of order nor was anything out of place. The victim believes the suspect could be someone who had been in her residence for maintenance while she was out of town.
1500 block of Martin St. The victim had been out of town and upon his return found that the rear door of his residence had been kicked in and entry made. 2 TVs, a DVD player, clothing, jewelry and food were stolen from the residence. The reporting officer processed the crime scene.

Apartment Checks include but not limited to: Stonewood, Meadowood, The Club, Mill Park, Beechwood, Arbor Hill, Mission, Mill Creek, Bakerstation, Country Meadows and Apollo. Extra patrols included areas where recent vehicle break-ins have occurred.

Major Event Information* Burglary * Burglary in the 400 block of Patterson St. The victims returned home to find tire tracks leading to their rear door. There was visible damage to that door. The responding officer process the crime scene.
Burglary in the 400 block of Swiss Av. The victim had been out of town for several days and returned home to find that the front door had been kicked in. Neighbors stated they did not notice any unusual activity around the residence. The responding officer processed the crime scene.

30's District Officers initiated 10 traffic stops resulting in 7 warnings and 3 citations. 1 Misd. Traffic arrest was made. 1 Terry stop was initiated. 23 apartments were checked along with 8 businesses and 9 community contacts. 6 warrant attempts were conducted.

Major Event Information* Robbery * Robbery in the 4500 block of Packard Dr. @ 9:25 am. Two suspects, description as followed: Suspect #1 - male black, 5'7",
180 lbs., 20-30 yr., wearing all black and carrying a small black semi-auto pistol. Suspect #2 - male black, 5'9", 170 lbs. wearing a black hat. The victim was standing outside when he was approached by the suspects who demanded his property which included a cell phone, wallet, cash, his identification and keys to home and vehicle. The suspects made the victim walk away before they fled the area. South Precinct Detectives notified.

Major Event Information* Significant Event * Robbery in the 2200 block of Murfreesboro Rd. The victim was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and was shot at extremely close range in the neck/shoulder area by the male black assailant who was armed with a Remington model 870 12 GA shotgun. Although the actual shooter was able to flee the scene before Police arrived a witness pointed out an accomplice who was observed concealing the weapon in the trunk of a car. The victim's injuries were very serious, but due to his quick transport to and treatment at the hospital he is expected to survive. Investigation is ongoing.

Many of the calls this shift were related to a severe thunderstorm which wreaked havoc as it passed through south Nashville around 7 pm causing widespread power outages, downed trees, power lines and even localized flooding in the Trimble Bottoms neighborhood. A higher-than-normal volume of traffic accidents related to the heavy rainfall also occurred precinct wide.

Major Event Information* Robbery * Robbery in the 3700 block of Bakertown Rd. At 7:30 pm a neighbor of the victim's called Police to advise that he had seen several unidentified suspects enter the victim's residence. When Police arrived on the scene they found the victim in an armchair, very disoriented and bleeding from his head. The victim said he didn't remember what happened, only that he was struck in the head. After checking with the neighbor that called 911 Officers learned that five suspects had approached the victim's residence. One of the suspects ran around the house, trying doors, while the other four suspects were checking the street. The neighbor said that shortly after that two other suspects joined the first suspect checking the door then they began knocking on the door. The door to the house opened from the inside and all five suspects, including two females, entered the residence and were there for several minutes. When they left the residence they left in a white 1998 Ford Mustang. The victim was treated at the scene for a concussion and lacerations to the head. South Precinct Detectives responded to the scene.
Robbery in the 700 block of Haystack Ln. At 9:05 pm the victim called Police saying that 5 male Hispanics robbed her at home. The victim advised that she had invited 3 of the suspects over to play video games. She said that the front door of the apartment was unlocked and that's when the two other suspects entered the apartment, uninvited. One of the suspects held a gun on her while the other four ransacked her home. The victim doesn't know anything about the suspects except that they are friends with her ex-boyfriend. South Precinct Detectives responded to the scene along with ID.

30's District: The 30's zone cars were proactive in the 100 block of Colemont Dr, the 5600 block of Country Dr and the 300 block of Cedarmont Dr due to residential burglaries resulting in: 4 physical arrests, 3 misd. charges, 3 warrant attempts, 2 misd. warrants served, 3 field interviews, 1 traffic stop, 2 violations, 8 apartment checks, 1 felony warrant served, 3 business checks and 1 Terry stop.
